The Carolina Cabin (commissioned by Jackie Andrews of Andrews Miniatures in Ashland Va and featured in the book "The Andrews Collection: Personal Treasures" by Anne Day Smith) was built by Ron and April Gill of Wildwood Dollhouse and Miniatures in 1983. It is built on a custom attatched rolling stand which boasts a dirt back yard. The exterior features are a realistic tree, tire swing, outhouse, tin roof and stone chimney. The two sides of the Carolina Cabin open to reveal the interior which has lighting in each room, hardwood floors, custom wallpaper, working doors and steps that actually lead to the upstairs hall and bedrooms. The dollhouse is sold unfurnished with the exception of the decor that is attatched on the two walls that open, deer head, wall shelf and contents shown on shelf in dining room, wall shelf and contents shown in upstairs hallway by the nursery, various paintings and prints shown throughout, wall shelves, kettle, mounted fish and telephone in the kitchen, tree and swing in yard and outhouse.
